What. A. Week.
On July 2, I officially launched the Kickstarter campaign, and I honestly don’t even know where to begin. The response has been incredible, and I’m so grateful to everyone who’s supported this dream of mine.
We hit our original goal of $1,500 in just under three hours. Three hours! I was nervous going into launch day, wondering if anyone would even see it, but the support came pouring in right away. It was honestly overwhelming in the best way.
Within the first hour, Kickstarter selected the campaign as one of its “Projects We Love” and featured it on their homepage. This recognition is hand-picked by their team and gave the campaign a huge boost. I couldn’t believe it!

By the end of launch day, we had hit 211% of our funding goal, with 52 backers and over $3,100 pledged. I’m absolutely blown away!!!
Since reaching that initial goal, I’ve introduced a stretch goal of $4,000. If we hit that, I’ll be able to fully recoup the costs i’ve already put into creating the book so far, plus giving me a bit more financial availability to get started on the next book in the series (which I’m already dreaming about).
The campaign runs for 21 days, so pledges will be accepted right up until it closes. Even if we reach the stretch goal, every dollar continues to go back into this book! Getting it printed, distributed, and hopefully onto more bookshelves.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I truly can’t say it enough.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out the campaign yet, you can still support the book https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/hockeyseason/hockey-is-my-favorite-season
Your pre-orders, shares, and kind messages mean more than you know.
xx,
Rayne
